WHERE I COME FROM
I grew up in a small Colorado ski town, graduated from Nederland High School and attended the Colorado School of Mines. There I met my wife, Paula, who is Colombian.
We started out living in Bogota, Colombia, where I learned Spanish and got to immerse myself in another culture. As our family grew, we moved to Boston, St. Louis, Boulder and back to Bogota. Along the way I earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
We were fortunate to be able to move to Aspen in 2013 with our three children, Matilda, Thomas and Juliana. Matilda and Thomas have graduated and Juliana is a senior this year at Aspen High School.
One of the reasons we chose to come to Aspen was because of the excellent schools. Our children have benefited from the support of incredible teachers and administrators like Marc Whitley, Sarah Strassburger, Tameira Wilson, Tharyn Mulberry and Megan Noonan, just to name a few. There is not enough space to mention everyone here, but thank you.
Paula and I are both active in giving back to the community. While I have dedicated my time to the District Accountability Committee, Paula has volunteered with Valley Settlement.
